Joker Valve

Our Hylas 48 has two Jabsco heads.  They use joker valve part 29092-1000.

After 2 and 1/2 years I have never replace the joker in the forward head.  In the aft head a different story.  I need to replace that valve every six months or so and that is not with a lot of use. 

Has anybody else had such bad luck and have any suggestions?
