I hope this note finds you happy and healthy!
Having worked with scores of Hylas owners aboard their great yachts from 2007 right through 2023, I believe I may have amassed more sea miles aboard Hylas yachts than anyone except some owners themselves - and perhaps our great friends Christian Pschorr and John Kretschmer.
Over the past 17 years, I have successfully delivered nearly every model of Hylas, during every month of the year (even winter!), bringing each vessel into port safely and in better condition than I received it.
For nearly a decade, I was employed as a full-time paid captain aboard the following models: H49, H54, H56, H63 and H70. Aboard not only Hylas yachts but also Oysters, Hallberg-Rassys, Little Harbors, Aldens and many more great yachts, I have amassed more than 132,000 offshore miles, and can count many owners as repeat clients. I have a cadre of extremely qualified crew members who are always asking to return to sail with me offshore again (several of them are captains themselves). I have been a busy delivery captain since 1976. Owners are certainly welcome, if you have the time and inclination.
Geographically, I am familiar with nearly all of the major harbors from Bar Harbor Maine to Grenada, having captained offshore passages north and south for more than 47 years. I have an intimate knowledge of most every Bahamian and Caribbean islands, gained while sailing in those regions full time on a great many cruises and passages.
