Congrats on your new 49.  We are fellow swiftsure family members and the owners of Thalia - 1994 Hylas 49 hull#10.  We have done many updates on our 49 and are around in Seattle if you have any questions.

Great to meet you and your superbly fitted-out Thalia yesterday, Shawn!  Good luck with the chain locker project.

Congrats, and welcome to the Hylas family.  We  own hull #57 s/v Finally previously s/v Black Diamond.  Rick was a wonderful member of this forum posting many helpful pieces along the 10 years he and Bonnie owned the boat before us.  Could not be happier with the boat or the brand!  We're currently on the hard in Rochester, NY en route next year to the Caribbean via the St. Lawrence.  Made it last season from Superior, WI through all the Great Lakes and put on 2300 miles to wrap up the season.

Looking forward to seeing you out there at some point (though we seem to be in completely different oceans)  ;)

Congratulations, a very comfortable and safe vessel. We love ours. She lays in Panama now while we are back in the states dealing with a heath issue. Lots to learn but she will treat you well.

Congratulations.  The Hylas 49's are great boats.  We are at Port Sidney Marina so drop by to say hello on your way to Alaska.

Cheers,

... Over the last 8 years I have done many comfort improvements that were picked up and passed along from other Hylas owners sailing around Pacific Mexico that make living on board more enjoyable...

Thank you - and the others - for the warm welcome. Have you posted on this forum any of your tips?

Greetings, all -

We are the new owners of this 2001 Hylas, heretofore known as Stellar Blue, soon-to-be Aurora Borealis.  It has been evident that a number of forum members have discussed this vessel over the time it has been on the market.  We hope to share experiences with all over the upcoming years, and to receive a hail from anyone seeing Aurora Borealis somewhere between Valdez, AK and Puget Sound - or beyond.
