We loved our H49.   It is dry, seaworthy and fast.  I won 2nd in the 2005 Marion to Bermuda race and 2nd in class (58 in class) in the 2006 Newport to Bermuda Race.  Our family cruised in comfort from Annapolis to the Caribbean.

Hey Rick,

Where was the 49 you had under contract located? I haven't seen any but one in Newport Beach, CA, listed on YachtWorld.

Thanks,

Scott

Hello everyone,

I just had a Hylas 49 under contract and decided to walk away after the survey. It has been badly neglected by the owner for 20+ years and I couldn't bring myself to buying it in the end.

Does anyone know of someone who may be interested in selling their Stevens or Hylas 47? or 49? They are really great boats and I believe it will be hard for me to find another boat that I like as much.

All the best!

Rick
