Start with good quality standard fitted sheets and have them modified by a local seamstress.  Works well for mattress protectors also.  Template needs to include the thickness of the mattress.

I call Dave Black at Handcraft Mattress (Boat Beds .com).  They need a template as every boat can be a bit different.  Take mattress off and use a piece of heavier plastic tarp or plastic cover to make template. I order the top sheet fitted at the foot.  They sell sheets or you can order your own, send them in, and they will make them.   I actually ordered (order a larger size) a set of summer and a set of flannel, from Boll and Branch.  Costs a bit more, but they sure make nice sheets.

Our 44 came with ugly fitted sheets for the 2 main berths.  They work great- in the dark.  Anyone have a good source for replacements?
