The Tides system worked great!!  Dropped the main in less than 10 seconds!

Thanks for the advice.

I have Rutgerson composite battcars and SS slides with a Strong track system, installed 8 years ago, still functioning flawlessly.

Thanks all. I ordered the Tides system and my main is being modified.

My rigger said to stay away from the Harken system.

We have the white plastic Selden slides on our main secured by webbing.  Every few years they start to break.

I'm considering a Tides Strong Track or Harken system.  Any experience/recommendations?

Owned my 44 for three years.  It came with Tides Strong Track slides and track.  Works great, no problems.

We installed a Tides system on our previous boat, a Morgan 43. It worked perfectly for the 10 years we used it. I would buy it for our h46 if it did not have in mast furling. JR

I haven't used it, but I'm impressed with the Harken track systems.  The stack-track (doubled track with a switch) at the bottom is intriguing.  A friend used the Tides, but it wore out.
