We have not had the issue with our Hylas 56, but it was a real issue on our 2008 Beneteau 46.  Common solution was three pool noodles zip tied together and strung bon a line tied under the transom to prevent/disrupt the wave slap.  Not sure if it will work on your Hylas, but Other owners said it worked on the Beneteau.

“Bra” for transom sound control?
Hi all.  At the rendezvous in Bristol RI one of the boats there deployed a net-type structure under the transom scoop to control the bell sounds inside during the rough water in the bay.

I’m in search of that product or similar solution to help me sleep at night when we’re in our slip (T-Dock actually) with our stern to the wind.

Many thanks.
