That might work.  Where do you get these chain plates?  Are they custom? I might have room for these.  What are the actual dimensions of those stainless bars?  (Thickness, length and width)?  Also did you have someone weld on some extra circles on the plate to strength up where the Jordon drogue shackles are attached?

Hylas 54 Jordan Attachment

Not sure if you have the same space at the transom on a 44, but these are the plates I've had installed on my Hylas 54. Not used in anger yet, thankfully.

Anyone ever hooked up a Jordan series drogue to their Hylas 44?  I'm assuming cleats are not strong enough as an attachment point.  Any thoughts on how to reengineer rear cleats on port and starboard to support the load of a Jordan series drogue when deployed in rough conditions, with crashing waves?
