Merrill, water migrated 10 inches up the bulkhead and replacing it required removing the floor. We duplicated the floor profile with no voids. The removed bulkhead made it easier to remove and rebuild the whole, and I mean whole, rudder cutlass assembly so the floor/bulkhead experience wasn’t a total waste. And we finally have a boat that doesn’t leak.

Jim, why did you remove the entire floor? We installed a deck access plate to be able to remove and water under it but is is VERY shallow.

In case you are wondering the composition of the floor in the step lazarette on a Hylas 46, I took the attached picture before the floor went into the trash.
